CF with thermal vision, proof of concept.

Post by Jens_Lee »

Hi everybody

Today I finished a milestone of my current project, and I thought that somebody here might be interested.

I'm using an AMG8833 infrared sensor, reading a horizontal slice, and producing a vector for the CF to follow. This is just the first proof of concept, and I'm currently only reading 8 picels out of the available 64 of the sensor. BUT it works, and that's a start. Processing is happening on the computer using cflib. Will post more when there is something interesting to see.

That looks really nice. Something we have been wanting to play around with a well. Nice to see someone else do it!

When the multi-ranger is finished pair them up so you can find and track heat sources without bumping in to things! :D

I'm lucky enough to have a early access OA, so that's already on the way. Checking whether the surroundings i brick or meat is exactly the plan.
