Hi, I try to put a FPV camera on my CF, the current problem is the weight is too heavy. It has 45 gram in total (he maximum take-off weight is 42 gram). The current setup has two 7g batteries, one for CF and one for the FPV. I am thinking to solder the FPV on CF so I can reduce a battery. I found several cases that successful solder FPV on CF, but it may looks too easy for them to clarify how/where they solder it.
My current plan is to cut the power cable of FPV camera and solder it to the "+,-" at backside of CF (Red Rectangle). See Pic below. Not sure if it will cause any problems? Shorter flying time is expected. I am really new to electric, so wondering if can get any advise here. Thanks.
Solder FPV on CF
Re: Solder FPV on CF
What you could do is to solder it to VCOM on the expansion port and GND. You could use the battery holder board to attach and solder it to. VCOM can supply up to 1 amp through the CF2. It will also conveniently switch on/off with the CF2. One remark though is that the voltage can be between 3-5V.

It works great now! Thanks.
Re: Solder FPV on CF
Which camera is this?
Re: Solder FPV on CF
It looks like this kind of camera: https://www.teknikmagasinet.se/produkte ... ra-5-8-ghz. The one I got came with a battery adapter cable that allowed to connect the camera directly to the crazyflie battery. With just some double-sided-tape and some cable management I was able to fly the camera with the Crazyflie .

The link I send is the one I got. It is available in a physical shop here in my city which is very practical.
On the box it says that the model is FX797T, it seems to be available online: https://www.banggood.com/FX797T-5_8G-25 ... 42994.html
