Typically with traditonal radio controls, they will let a slave device connect to it, so the trainer can help someone out learning.

With that in mind, is it possible to load more than one config at a time, or multiple device support possible with the cfclient software?

It is possible to do so, but adding that functionality would require a pretty significant refactor of the existing input handling code. Best to make a new issue unless you want to dig into the code yourself.
