You were correct. I managed to bridge the two legs on the IC. Did a little re soldering magic and got it to power on with out being plugged in.

If it's a broken off button, I did a little post here about fixing the Crazyflie Nano (1.0) button (sorry I missed this thread OP) and since the Crazyflie 2.0 has the same button mounted in similar fashion, all of it should still apply.
