Crazyflie fails after connecting 3 boards

Post by DM7299 »

After attaching 3 boards to a Crazyflie 2.0 using the Crazyflie 2.X Long Header Kit (The Flow Deck, the LPS Deck, and the Multi-ranger) all attempts at flight result in the error below, the central component of which seems to be that too many packets are lost.

Even after the boards were removed, all attempts to connect result in this error, and the drone often flashes M1 rapidly in red.

Is adding 3 boards onto a Crazyflie not supported? What may have caused this?

Hi,

It seems that something is failing during Crazyflie startup. What expansion boards where connected? I is unlikely this has caused a big problem unless the decks where very incompatible.

One way to debug the situation is to connect the Crazyflie over USB and connect to it with the client. The console tab will give us more information about what is happening at startup. It will also allow you to check the address and channel at which the communication is setup since this is usually the main cause for this error to appear (the radio address and channel are stored in an I2C memory connected to the expansion port, maybe one of your deck had an effect on it).
