Power Options

Post by HuzayfaaN »

Hi

We are looking to use the Crazyflie 2.0 to represent the use of drones within unmanned airspace over the duration of 8/9 hours a day (for a 4-5 day period) and have some concerns around the battery life. We are wondering if it is possible to supply power directly to the Crazyflie using power cables (either soldered or pinned onto the board at the relevant pins) and not use a battery?

Is this possible? and has it previously been done (if so, is there an example that exists)?

Many thanks for the support!

Fully doable but you will need some form of higher voltage transfer circuit or the losses in the tethered cables will be to high.
