[Solved] Cannot find xbox360 controller (Win 7 64bit)

Post by Geodesic »

Hi Everyone,

Having difficulties with connecting an xbox 360 controller under windows 7 64bit. You can see below, the controller is visible to windows (as is the crazyradio), but the cflclient shows a "No inputdevice connected" warning. On a rescan I get the index out of range error in the terminal (although that just may be the default return when there are in fact no devices detected; I don't know). And I can't select a device in the configuration form if it doesn't exist obviously.

The crazyflie is visible through the radio connection, so that part of the set up is fine. Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong here?

PS. Have attempted this on two machines, but both W7 x64. Same error on my Arch box, but I've never connected this controller up there, so no idea if that's a separate issue....

It looks like the play & charge cable is only for charging so you'll still need a wireless receiver.

Ahh, that answers that then - thanks.

(Why call it 'play' and charge?)

Managed to get everything running with a PS3 controller regardless; so all is well.
