Me too. Console report:

SYS: Crazyflie is up and running!
SYS: Build 26:5f65b66e004d (Production-V2) CLEAN
SYS: I am 0x8720142853568549675FF54 and I have 128KB of flash!
IMU: MPU6050 I2C connection [OK].
IMU: HMC5883 I2C connection [OK].
IMU: MS5611 I2C connection [OK].
MPU6050: Self test acc Y [FAIL]. low: 0.300000, high: 0.949999, measured: 0.0

Not sure from the earlier gyro test instructions...

Could you try this and post the output. It's important that you start moving it just after you power it on.
... whether you mean to start moving it before or after the propeller check; tried it both ways; same fail. (Powered it up on level surface both times, then picked it up and moved it around while connecting.)

This began after an impact -- but not an exceptionally hard one. In fact, I'd been planning on posting my amazement at the punishment the CF can take when this happened.

Open a support case at seeedstudio, I guess...?

Hi,

I opened a support request last week at seedstudio, however I haven't heard back from them yet... Any idea?

Kind regards,
Bernd

They responded to me pretty quickly on two different issues. Did you go through the seeedstudio.com Customer Service page or the Tech Support page? (I used the former.)

Chiming in as yet another victim of this issue:

Code: Select all

SYS: Crazyflie is up and running!
SYS: Build 31:ba1d111112ad (2013.4) CLEAN
SYS: I am 0x8720424953568549669FF54 and I have 128KB of flash!
IMU: MPU6050 I2C connection [OK].
IMU: HMC5883 I2C connection [OK].
IMU: MS5611 I2C connection [OK].
MPU6050: Self test acc Y [FAIL]. low: 0.300000, high: 0.949999, measured: 0.0
Tried everything described in this thread, no deal, filed a ticket with Seeedstudio. Meh!

Possibly have the same issue here.
My second CF was flying pretty well, but never was stable enough to hover in place. Specially when rising from ground it tend to rotate in one direction.
But today I hit it pretty hard and it felt from about 1,5m to concrete floor - seems well, but was not rising correctly, alway deviating to "front".

After power off-on sequence it won't start, flashes about 5 times in red all the time. Don't have CF here to check console now, but after reading this thread it can be broken gyro problem.

I know you probably don't wanna hear this, but that sounds suspiciously like what mine did, except mine was drifting to the right before power-cycling.

Lucky me :D after my first pre-ordered CF came with possibly broken firmware (thread) I decided to buy two new kits. Luckily the third CF is still in a box, so in worst case I will have quite a lot "spare parts" for it ;)
