IMU sensor problem and controller frequency

Hi,

After I increased the attitude controller frequency from 250hz to 500hz and run the crazyflie several times, the crazyflie shut down and show "MPU6050:self test gyro X[FAIL].low:10.0, high:105.0, measured:0.0". What's more, before the sensor died, there is some unknown liquid on the surface of the mpu6050 circuit. I am not sure if there is any connection between the frequency change and the sensor's death and does anyone meet same situation or know what on earth is happening?
