Convert crazyflie to tricopter

Seems like my port Q1 is not going to work, Is there any way to convert this quad copter to a tri copter, by taking the PCB arms and reattaching it?

If the port never worked, why not get a replacement board? Would be easier. Payload weight would be reduced for tricopter!

You can not just remove one arm.. a tricopter needs the ability to rotate one of the arms.. this would be quite complicated to realize with the cf.

Crazyflie doesnt have a replacement board

My guess is rmirwin2 meant a replacement for the board from seeedstudio (under warranty). Standalone boards are also planned for the next batch.
