Running vision algorithms onboard the Crazyflie

Post by bobby_d »

Hi all!

I am looking to implement vision algorithms onboard the crazyflie. Right now I am running them offboard using ( http://www.fpvhobby.com/63-1-gram-nano- ... 80tvl.html ). I am wondering how/if it is possible to connect this camera to the Crazyflie and use the images I get for purely onboard visual computation.

Thanks!

Hi,

Doing onboard vision algorithm would require a deck (exp. board) with a powerful CPU to do the calculation. It is possible but still requires a great amount of hardware development.

What we are planing short term for this use case is the big-quad deck that would allow to control a bigger quad with the Crazyflie then to a Raspberry-pi of other SOC-board can do the vision.
