[SOLVED] PC Client unable to detect LPS

Post by youngbin1130 »

Hi,

I've been trying to wrap my head around why my PC client isn't showing the green/red boxes even though my LPS is connected.

I've followed just at the documentation said.

1. Started in DFU and flashed the latest firmware.
2. Restart the LPS, assign it an ID and it's mode (Anchor TWR).
3. According to the documentation it should be showing the green boxes in the client but it doesn't.

I tried updating the driver of the node to USB Serial using Zadig, but it remains as usbser (v1.0.0.0) even after a "update successful" popup.

Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Hi!

Which version of the Crazyflie firmware are you using?

Hello! Thank you for your reply!

My Cfclient version is 2019.09.1

The rest of the parts should be in the latest version as well.

Does all other functionality work in the PC client when you have connected to your Crazyflie? For instance, does the horizon in the "Flight Control" tab change as expected when you move the Crazyflie?

Yes, I am able to see the changes in the Flight tab when my CrazyFlie is connected. However, there are multiple moments of the client turning into “Not Responding” randomly after I connect the drone. Additionally, there are instances where the flight tab isn’t updating as fast when I rotate the drone (clicking the client during this time will go to “Not Responding” mode as well).

Hi,

The client problems do not sounds good and I wonder where that can come from.

By no-responding do you mean that the client looses connection to the drone, of do you mean that the graphical interface freezes?

What OS are you running and how did you install the client (from source or build)?

Hi Arnaud,

By "Not Responding", I meant that the graphical interface slows down and freezes.

I'm currently on Windows 10 and I installed the client from build, I believe.

Cheers.

Hi!

Arnaud is now on his holiday.

So in the last post said that you installed the CFclient from build, but earlier you said that you installed the release 2019.9.1. With build I read is that you build the very latest version on github, which might have some bugs.

Could you go to help>about>debug and copy the all the information in there in this thread?
