Good Morning,

just found out that there will be a new type of batteries in future:
http://inhabitat.com/all-solid-lithium- ... batteries/

- 1,200 milliamp-hours (mAh) per gram after 300 charge/discharge cycles @ 60°C
- half the voltage compared to a LiPo
- LiPo has capacity of just 140-170 mAh/g"

Nice, or? :D
At the moment its a prototype and they will create a patent.
"Currently in the prototype phase, ORNL has applied for patents for the lithium polysulfidophosphates technology."

Wouldn't be the first time a new promising battery technology would be buried in patents and never be used.</pessimism>

I hope it works out!

Hopefully this will work. Then we have super duper crazyflie with a lot more flight time ;)
We have to use twho of those batteries to get the voltage, then we have maybe about 2000mAh @~3g. So we could fly about one hour. That is crazy

Yep, let's hope! It would open up a lot of new possibilities but I kind of agree with smiler, there is a lot of these promises, but no products...
