nrf51822-firmware-master about the NRF_FLOW_CTRL pin

Hi!
I find that the NRF_FLOW_CTRL pin did not have any pulse before communicating with the radio and after the firmware started. And it will have pulse signal in the process of connecting to the radio,then there will be a timing pulse after the Quadcopter is connected. But I didn't find any codes about the NRF_FLOW_CTRL pin used to produce pulse in the NRF-firmware-master or STM32 firmware.Is it related to the hardware produce ? or others? or where can I find this codes? And what is the function of the pulse in communication ?
