Hello,
I woud like to do a project with a spark.io to help the crazyflie to give me some data and/ streaming a video with the hd definition . But i have read some stuff on this forum, it's not possible, because the performance of the crazyflie or spark is not enough
Anyone have tested the new Edison of Intel in her crazyflie project?

Intel Edison integration help crazyflie ?
Re: Intel Edison integration help crazyflie ?
Yes, the performance is not good enough for encoding video. We have a few Edisons lying around at the office with a plan of doing an expansion board that has the Edison expansion header mounted. We've been a bit too busy with other things, but it's something that we would like to experiment with. But we are still looking for a good camera for the Edison. Unfortunately it seems as if the only solution is a USB camera, but we need something that's very low weight. Any ideas?
Re: Intel Edison integration help crazyflie ?
In your plan, you use the mini expansion board ?
Yes the camera ^^ but with a dual core we can do others things (autopilot/ or ^^ http://hackrfblue.com/)
I think that we have to wait until nixie is out ^^ because i have see during 1 week on internet for a hdcam and the result is no good amperage or no good weight.
Thanks for the reply Marcus

Hi,
Thanks,

I was wondering if there has been any progress w.r.t. using the Intel Edison. Are you, or anybody else from the community for that matter, working on this?marcus wrote:We have a few Edisons lying around at the office with a plan of doing an expansion board that has the Edison expansion header mounted. Re: Intel Edison integration help crazyflie ?
No, not yet (that I know of). The great thing is with the Edison is the power you get, but you have to have something to use it for. For a long time the idea has been to use it for image processing, but we keep getting stuck on the camera. Since the Edison doesn't have a working MIPI interface you will need a USB camera (or USB<->MIPI). We've been trying to find small ones, but we haven't been able to get any good ones. Any suggestions are welcomeken wrote:Hi,
