Wii U Pro Controller support

Post by Edward »

I'd like to use my Wii U Pro Controller to control the crazyflie. It is recognized by the VM and the crazyflie software, however, the available mappings are rather suboptimal for this controller. Creating an own mapping is problematic because a full stick tilt is recognized by the software as 50%, not 100%, so I can't map the sticks. :(
Are there plans to support Wii U Pro Controllers in the future? I'd appreciate it. :)

Well try to get hold of a Wii U Pro Controller and add support for it.
Is it easy to connect the controller to a PC?

I had no problems connecting it to my virtual machine with the VM-pack you provide. Just keep in mind that it only works via bluetooth, USB is for charging only as far as I know.
I installed XWiimote, but if I understood it correctly, it isn't required. The project site recommends bluez-5.0 so the pairing will be less cumbersome, but it worked for me with the 4.x-version from the ubuntu reps as well.
