A step-file is an universal file for 3D CAD Software. The sketchup and dxf files are very nice, but not the best for creating a 3d model in a CAD Software. In between i created my own model in Autodesk inventor. This helped me to design a cover for my crazyflie. Next week i'll upload the cover to a 3d printer service. When the result is fine to me, i'll upload a rendered video to this forum and offer my work to you. Maybe i'll make some aerodynamic simulation in comsol to see, if my cover has a good shape, but therefor i meed to know the shape oft the rotors. It would be great if you can help me with that

Cool! You can find some mockups in the repository here.

Is there an easy way to convert this model into openGL triangles? I'm trying to build a simulation for the copter.

Is there a way to open the .skp file in Inventor? I looking for a detailed 3D model. Also, the .dxf files are just drawings right? Thanks.
