sketchup model

Post by er1c »

had my crazyflie quadcopter for a few weeks now, pretty impressed by how stable it flies given it's size!

I wanted to look at designing my own crazyflie frame for 3dprinting after reading about Vger's experiments in another thread:
http://forum.bitcraze.se/viewtopic.php? ... ilit=frame

couldn't find any 3dmodel that I can use for reference, so I made my own, from the schematics on the wiki page and a bit of measuring.
thought I'd share.
distances (motor to motor / propeller diameter etc) should be mostly accurate, maybe +-0.5mm

Hi Eric,

That's a really nice model. Great work!

If you haven't seen it already we have a repository for mechanical parts where we store various models and drawings. Would you mind if we added your model so that people could find it more easily? Any chance you have a Pro version of SketchUp and can export the model in DXF as well?

thanks!
please do add it to the repository! I hadn't realise there's a mechanical section in the repository :)
I can export a dxf, but it'll have to be sometime next week, currently out and about...
(or someone else with sketchup pro might be able to help)

Whoaaa O_O That's indeed a nice model! We really need a karma plugin for this board ;)

Thanks :)

while working on my crazyflie frame today, I noticed the centre point I used for rotation in my previous model was slightly off.
fixed it, so here is the revised version of the model, in sketchup and dxf format.

Hi Crazyflie Team,
i´m interested in creating my own crazyflie body. is it possible to offer a STEP file, where a quadcopter is included?

Best wishes,
Markus

I'm not completely sure what you are meaning with "where a quadcopter is included"?
