Connect motors with pin headers?

For feet, I used foam earplugs, cut down to size & hotglued to the bottom of each motor. I still have my battery on top though.

So has anyone done it? I.e. Solder in pins sticking out and use female jumper connectors on the cable?
@dogs did it work?
