Flying upside down possible?

Post by Camper997 »

Hi, is it possible to turn around the motor rotation to fly upside down?
i could not find a possibility to get something like a negative thrust value.

I'm not completely sure what you mean. You could mount the motors upside down and flip the props to make them pushing. That would also require a firmware change. However what I really think you mean is 3D flying and flipping it in the air. That is not possible and would require a variable pitch set-up.

yes it was the 3D flying I was writing about. I just forgot the term "3D".
Okey, so that answers my question, thank you.

Something else I realized is, that I am able to setup a very high value for the max pitch / roll angle. Is it possible to do something like 360° roll or pitch twist really quickly? Or is there something like a max angle value of 90° ?

Acrobatic mode is under development but I can't remember who is doing it though. Then it should be possible to fly it in "rate" mode which means you will control the turn rate instead of the angle. it is then possible to do flips and such but it also requires a pretty good pilot ;)

I tried setting the angle to 360 but it is very difficult to fly then. I also managed to do a flip but crashed immediately after. Might be possible to do flips this way but damage risk is high.

Acrobatic mode sounds amazing, you'll need to take a video of it sometime :)
