I have something I'd like to share with my fellow BitCrazers. It's a DIY 9dB antenna booster for the CrazyRadio. This design is sometimes referred to as the WindSurfer. It's used in WiFi signal boosting & extending the radio range of other RC Quadcopters.
I edited an antenna booster template with instructions & BitCraze logo. Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Re: DIY CrazyRadio Antenna Booster 9dB
Hi all,
First, my apologies for my bad english. Maybe is not the correct place to make the question, however, my problem is this:
when I bought the CRPA came with an antenna that doesn't fit on the device, so, as I guess it's impossible to change it in the place where I bought (I live in Ecuador), my question is what kind of antenna can replace it?
Perhaps with an antenna of a router?
Regards,
Diego.

Hi,
First of all can you please create a new topic when you are asking an unrelated question.
This is very strange, where did you buy the Crazyradio from?
The antenna is an RP-SMA 2.4GHz duck antenna, any standard 2.4GHz wifi antenna will replace it (like the one you get with router or USB wifi dongle).

Hi,
Sorry for posting the question in the wrong topic, feel free to relocate/remove it.
I bought it from Hackaday.
Ok, thanks for the reply. A doubt about it, the performance is affected by changing the antenna?
Regards,
Diego.

Re: DIY CrazyRadio Antenna Booster 9dB
No the performance will not be affected, the stock Crazyradio antenna is just a standard 2.4GHz antenna.
Can you take a photo of the Crazyradio packaging (mostly the Seeedstudio sticker) and send it to me? You can send by mail at the contact email https://www.bitcraze.io/contact/. We would like to know where the problem was.
Regards,
Arnaud
