Re: PC-free for Crazyflie 2.0

Hey all -- I wanted to revisit a variant of a question that was asked earlier in this thread -- what kind of work would be involved with reverse engineering the protocol used by an existing RC controller that has the NRF24L01 as its tx? Is there any standard/protocol at all, if even only for negotia...

Re: improving on thrust control? (xbox360 or PS3)

Oh that's not so bad -- I had read the stuff about Walkera but when I looked to buy the controller I only found things for $150 and up. Must have been searching for the wrong thing. At any rate, $70 is still a bit on the high end for me at the moment but I'll keep it in the back of my mind. The mod ...

Thanks, Tobias and Bitcraze, for the quick resolution. Replacement board flies like a dream.

improving on thrust control? (xbox360 or PS3)

Hey All I'm primarily using an xbox360 controller via the crazyradioPA to fly and the control of thrust leaves much to be desired (as I'm sure is also true with the PS3 controller). The primary issue is that since the joysticks are spring loaded to remain central, I can only use half the range of mo...

Re: Logging from the NRF module

Continuing to dig through this. Here's what I've learned: - no, printf from the NRF isn't plumbed through to the client in any way. - "printf" on the NRF51822 is implemented via UART. It's unclear to me whether this is even exposed via the debug breakout board. - Seems like it would be pre...

Re: Battery levels explaination

Lithium Ion batteries are nonlinear. Sounds like the percentages were adjusted to account for this nonlinearity to present a linear domain (time?)

Here's a randomly chosen graph from the internet to illustrate:

Logging from the NRF module

Hey Community I'm getting started with crazyflie and am doing some work on the NRF firmware. Is it possible to debug the NRF without a JTAG? I don't necessarily need to step if I can get the NRF's printf/system logging output plumbed through the same way the STM's debug statements are viewable in th...

Re: Highly erratic IMU

Aha! I found the following error output in the console: "I2CDEV: Error callback nr: 1024" This error is seen at the exact moment the orientation view starts drifting. Definitely the cause. Sounds like this is possibly a known soldering defect, as referenced here?? Please help. https://foru...
