Re: unprecise axe z

Hi! First step is to make sure the anchors have "good" positions. Ideally you should have anchors above and under your flight path. We have noticed a problem with Z sometimes and suspect that there is a bug that we do not fully understand yet, but we think it might be related to noise from the accel...

Re: How many decks can I use for a single CF

Hi! Sounds like an exciting project! No that is not possible at the moment. Currently the Flow deck driver is using the z-ranger driver for the distance sensor on the flow deck, and there can only be one instance of the z-ranger driver. There is support for using multiple distance sensors though and...

I'm not sure which timestamp you are referring to, could you please provide some more context.

Re: Using Logging to record loco deck location

The estimated position is available in kalman.stateX, kalman.stateY and kalman.stateZ Sometimes it takes a while for the Kalman filter to converge and find the position. We sometimes use a hack (not theoretically correct but seems to work pretty OK) to understand if the filter has converged or not b...

Re: [from github] Issue with flying multiple CF's with adding anchor 7 and 8

@chilli65 Only LPS_TDOA_ENABLE=1 is needed (the correct estimator is chosen automatically when the Loco deck is installed). Set CFLAGS += -DLOCODECK_NR_OF_ANCHORS=8 in config.mk (or update src/deck/drivers/interface/locodeck.h). If you are not using ROS, also set the anchor positions in src/deck/dri...

Re: RED light in anchor ranging for TDOA anchor

The TDoA mode is still experimental and the client is only supporting the default Two Way ranging mode. Some functionality is shared though and is useful in TDoA mode as well. The position of anchors must be set in the firmware code for TDoA. Set the anchor positions in src/deck/drivers/src/locodeck...

Re: Autonomous embedded flight system

Hi Carlos! Yes, embedded systems are a bit different from a python script. There is not really an application layer in the Crazyflie (even though we have discussed adding one) where you easily can add what you want to do. Since there are no processes and threads in the same way as in a preemptive OS...

Re: Fluctuating errors - lps anchors but other system

Hi! We have not done any real investigations on error distribution and related properties for TDOA so this is interesting! I have not had time to dive into your data yet, but I hope to do it soon. Until then you might find this paper interesting http://mikehamer.info/assets/papers/Ledergerber,%20Ham...

Re: need support to install client on my macOS High Sierra

Hi! I'm not sure what is happening. Have you tried to reinstall the sdl libraries? Did you install python3 from brew as well? If so, are you sure you are running the "brew" python and not the one from Apple?. You can check with $ which python3 /usr/local/bin/python3 if all is good you should get /us...

Re: Presentation and client installation issues

Hi! First an explanation of what git and brew is. * GIT is a tool that is used to manage source code. It keeps track of all changes in the files and enables many people to collaborate when developing source code. For a user like you it is a convenient tool to use to download the source code. * Brew ...
