If you want to modify the firmware of the Crazyflie (low level C programming) and debug the different chipsets (STM32, NRF51) a debugger kit can certainly be handy, but it's not required. If you want to program client applications that send/receive...

Which Windows version do you use?

What problems do you have with flashing the Crazyradio firmware using Python?

Did you try scanning for the Crazyflie 2 that can't connect in the settings menu?
How did you flash the firmware?

It's about 15mins away by public transport. Apparently it's an esports bar, with a "Warcraft Hearthstone" challenge/cocktail night on Saturday evening.

Please open a console/terminal in the crazyflie-clients-python dir, try to run "python setup.py" and report back any error messages.
