Crazyflie Bolt unable to hold altitude above 1.5m

Hi, My build is a quadcopter with crazyflie bolt, and currently having this problem position mode. Whenever i flew the drone above 1.5m manually or using script, the drone will start to have "bouncing" motion but it holds altitude well when flying low. The beacons were set up in a 4x3x3m s...

Maintain altitude when flying over obstacle in autonomous flight

Hello,

Is it possible for the crazyflie to maintain altitude when flying over an object in autonomous flight using flowdeck and LPS system?

If yes, please guide me how to do it.

Thank you!

Re: Problems with Assisted modes

When flying in PosHold mode, if i hold the joystick at maximum pitch for a period of time, the drone will move forward at a steady pace at first, then follows by an uncontrollable pitch forward overshoot motion and the drone wont stop even after i released the stick. Is this behavior normal?

Re: Problems with Assisted modes

Thanks Kimberly! After changing the yaw estimate the problem was solved.

By the way, as my quad fly past 1.5m in height, its vibration increases as height increases further slowly. The quad is still able to hold its position well. does this have something to do with attitude PID?

Re: Problems with Assisted modes

May i know if there is yaw PID for position mode? Want to try to tune the value to see if it helps my current situation.

Re: Problems with Assisted modes

My quad can take off straight up and there is no yaw drifting, just that during mid flight the yaw reading changes with the quad's heading remains the same, thats when the swapping of roll n pitch control happens.

Re: Problems with Assisted modes

Solved the connectivity issue between LPS Nodes and the UBW, this is caused by placement of the UWB deck. i followed the controller guide for PosHold mode but the swapping of roll and pitch control always happen during mid flight in PosHold mode, the "actual yaw' value will change from 0 to 13...

Re: Problems with Assisted modes

Thanks Kimberly, The drone's performance is all good but when switched to position mode, the control for roll and pitch will swap and the connectivity between the UWB and the LPS nodes are not stable, sometimes cant get the reading from the nodes. the LPS nodes are placed within a 2m^2 area. to fix ...
