Re: Crazyflie w/ Double Motors
The e-sky transmitter has an in-built amplifier which should give a very good range, and since it is only an up-link it boosts it even more. We have not tested the range but I would expect it to be several hundred meters.

Re: Crazyflie w/ Double Motors
I don't think there needs to be any additional hardware modifications. The board should be able to handle the added current. It could probably be tuned better so looking at the PID settings might be a good idea. To increase the uplink range, it is possible to put an amplifier between the Crazyradio ...

Re: New Battery Type
Yep, let's hope! It would open up a lot of new possibilities but I kind of agree with smiler, there is a lot of these promises, but no products...

Re: Crazyflie w/ Double Motors
This is going to be really interesting to follow. The efficiency of the motors will probably get better, which might cancel out the turbulence loss. You might want to increase the strengt of the PCB arms due to the new weight. Tying a fishing line like this might be enough, or tie it around the end ...

Re: Connect motors with pin headers?
Here's a sample picture. The M1 and M2 connectors need to be facing upwards and the M3 and M4 downwards for them to fit. The tricky part will actually be the mating connector on the motors as it is hard to attach them without proper tools. Also they will not fit through the motor mount if the connec...

Re: Awsome!
Thanks for you kind words, it means a lot to us! Just as atomicdog said it can be WiFi interference but it could also have been the battery ran out? We have on our todo list to try and improve the radio connection by implementing channel hopping, but also not disconnect when we loose the down-link. ...

Re: Connect motors with pin headers?
There is a possibility to use connectors which we have tried, not perfect but works. The PicoBlade connectors fit on the top side if they are oriented in a specific way. I'll try to remeber posting a picture of it tonight when I get home. The motor holes have a 1.27mm pitch and are 0.6mm in diameter.

Re: Suggestion regards motor dents
We really appriciate you input Rich! The motor mount is accually not working completely as designed. There is supposed to be a bit of plastic between the motor and the PCB arm but the tollerances of the mould was to big and the cylider part of the motor mount ended up a bit tight. This makes the cyl...

Re: Motors facing up or down??
Grrrr, I always have to little time writing my posts so it won't be that long... Yes, you can double the power this way but you must put the motors in parallel. If you put them in series you will get the effect you are talking about (the same with loudspeakers). Each motor is about 2.3ohm and when y...
