Re: Hello from Texas!

@hittstick and how did you find the "getting started" tutorials? //Björn @bjorn I really wish there were official instructions for setting up the development environment and PC client outside of running a VM. I had to use the instructions for installing on the raspberry pi 3 from the foru...

Re: Flight school

One thing I did note was the power connector from the battery to the main chassis. This is pretty ungainly and I assume that if it moves during flight it must alter the balance compared to being at rest. Does anyone have a good method of securing the wires? I saw a picture where someone oriented th...

Re: Testing different LiPos

I was thinking about picking some of these up, but now I'm leaning towards @theseankelly's suggestion:

Re: Hello from Texas!

Hi @hittstick and @H0stname, I think the feedback regarding our documentation is very interesting but I would like to know more. What was the first thing you did when receiving your Crazyflie? Were did you start to get information (web, wiki, forum)? //Björn at Bitcraze Howdy @bjorn, The first plac...

Re: Hello from Texas!

Not as of yet, this is my first quadrotor and I've been trying to learn more about them in general, and the idea of tuning the PID values keeps popping up, A lot of folks are saying it's best to jump right into acro mode to really learn how to fly, but I've been trying to take it slow. Even the powe...

Re: Hello from Texas!

Thanks a bunch for the advice. I'm in the same boat with the camera, in the meantime I'm just practicing flying a couple of times a day and perusing the forums. I've looked into some stronger batteries, but am hesitant to purchase because there isn't a lot of info from others about that. Maybe I'll ...

Re: Hello from Texas!

Yes, @tobias, I read that post, it didn't make me feel less nervous about it  I'll pick up some solder wick and flux before I attempt the fix.

Re: Hello from Texas!

So many things have happened. Ubuntu Mate on the rpi3 decided to stop booting all of a sudden, so I pulled all of my necessary files off of the sd card and am now using Raspbian (which is a pain trying to get ROS set up on). The ps3 controller seems to work better now, however, and I feel like I'm g...

Re: Developer Environment and Client on a Raspberry Pi 3 with Jessie

I've hit my first big snag. What controller are you using with the RPi3? I got a ps3 controller and the pi seems to detect it just fine, and the client appears to recognize it, but I'm not getting any output even after following all of the instructions on the web page (and yes, I've tried pressing t...

Re: Hello from Texas!

Thanks a ton for the tips! I've got the crazyflie up and running, and just (literally) procured a ps3 controller so I'm working on getting that set up. For the record I've been using Linux for about 2 years as my main OS on my school laptop, as well as my Raspberry Pi 3b. I followed the instructions...
