Re: (Hopefully not) Problem with IMU?

Today I was unable to get flying with an Android tablet I borrowed as the trim range from -0.5 to 0.5 was insufficient to gain any control.

Can anyone suggest any next steps please?

Re: (Hopefully not) Problem with IMU?

Tobias, Thanks, yes it does stay roughly still but only with outrageous trim settings for roll (Sometimes up to 14) then once I have it staying still, after flying around a bit and trying to stay still again, the trim needs to be changed. I'm going to check it's not a controller zeroing issue by fly...

Re: (Hopefully not) Problem with IMU?

Thanks Chad, Its hard to see but it looks like your telemetry settles immediately after motion stops. That makes me worry even further... I think tonight I will remove the motors and mounts and check it again just in case any flex in the mounts is causing the telemetry issues and then I'm making a m...

[CLOSED] Problem with IMU?

Hi guys, I haven't really played with my CF2 as much as I would like and that's because I suspect there is a slight problem with the acel/gyro on board. Basically when I fly (or pick up and put down) the CF the roll axis takes a little while to settle even though the flie is still. I previously post...

[SOLVED] Axis take about 2 seconds to settle after landing

Hi guys Merry Christmas!!

Having just started flying, my roll trim needs to be at 11 to fly straight up and when I land, the roll axis on the client telemetry takes around two seconds to level out.

I can post a vid if needed?

Is this normal?
Thanks :)

Re: Beginner with embedded development

@dbrgn thanks, what a great explanation of your code. I kind of get the gist but the value ranges confuse me somewhat still, I need to sit down with some coffee and get my head around those. As soon as Christmas morning comes and I can finally open my Flie ;) I'll load you firmware and check it out ...

Re: Beginner with embedded development

Wow Thanks for the help guys, I'm slowly starting to get a handle now... I have a crazyflie 2.0 with the led ring exp board, I read on the wiki that drivers exist in the firmware. I only found drivers for the neopixle ring so far (thanks to whoenig!!) Is it the same for the adafruit ring and the new...

Re: Beginner with embedded development

Thanks! At least it's similar to what I know and I can stop doubting myself now :) Could you please help by pointing me in the general direction of the c file that contains the code for setting the expansion pins... My plan for learning is as you suggested - start really simple. I would like to puls...
