Re: More powerful coreless motor
It worked! Kind of, it doesn't disconnect anymore which is huge progress but there is still up to a second of delay between controller input and rpm change. The delay gets bigger the longer the crazyflie has been running/how fast . Ill test further tomorrow! Thanks a lot for your help so far!

Hey guys, i went ahead and bought the 8.5mm motors and everything is set up but i have the same issue as piesi was having with the disconnection. Are the driver for this bus completed? Is it possible to use the I2C2 bus in parallel with the I2C1 bus?

Re: More powerful coreless motor
Tobias, I will indeed get a bigger/better battery and probably replace the battery connector for the regular rc jst connector. Do you have any more information on the trace width/copper thickness or any other way of calculating the max current of the traces? If not, i think i will have to go for the...

Re: More powerful coreless motor
Thanks for the answer! I have been looking more in detail into replacing the motors since i will be needing more power and a slightly larger frame and have narrowed it down to three choices: -8.5x20mm: weighs 4.9g and produces max 40g of thrust with a hubsan x4 propeller (tested 40.3g at 2.75A http:...

More powerful coreless motor
I was wondering if it was possible to fit the crazyflie with more powerful coreless motors. I have looked at two alternatives so far: Use another 6x15mm motors that are slightly more powerful 1.8g(15g thrust with hubsan x4 propellers) http://micro-motor-warehouse.com/products/cl-0615-14 Or use a muc...
