Problems with German customs to be expected? :-/
Hey Bitcraze developers. I'm from Germany and pre-ordered a 10-DOF Crazyflie from the first charge. Now I heard that even the Famous Kickstarter-Project "Pebble" (the Smartwatch) had problems with the German customs, because of radio-technology and missing certifications and things like th...

Tips for starting Development
Hey guys! I ordered one of the 10-DOF Kits of the first batch. I never programmed any hardware, all my programs just were simple Java-Crap or something like this. But now I'm trying to understand the code of the Firmware of the Crazyflie. Does one of you have any tips for me how to start? I fail jus...

Rotor Colour
I just saw a video of a commercial Quadrocopter and it had 2 Black rotors and 2 in neon orange. The two neon orange ones marked the front of the quadrocopter.
I think that could help a lot to recognize the orientation in air.
Perhaps a good idea for the next Gen?

Re: Add-ons!
Another simple thing i'm thinking of is a Landing frame.
I think a leightweight Landing frame will be better, than Landing on the circuit board itsself everytime
Unfortunately i dont have access to a 3d printer :-\

Re: USB Controller
I tried a XBox 360 Wireless Controller and that worked for me in the PC Software. It only seems to be important that the controller is recognized in the system as a usual controller and that it has the necessery joysticks and trigger-buttons. My X-Box controller has one analog joystick on the left t...

Re: Creating a hover mode
Hey Magnus357, I also thought about exactly these Features and I'm at a similar situation related to my programing skills. I also ordered the 10 DOF model. Another idea of mine was to implement a signal-lost-rescue-mode. When the hover-function is implemented, the quadrocopter could hover at a Posit...
