Re: Resources on PID and mathematical model of the crazyflie
Not related to the CrazyFlie, but here are some control system lectures that are well worth a watch: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCq0ims ... 9PBOFnoIrg

Re: Easy magnetometer calibration
I already have tested it, and it works great. Usage is actually pretty simple. Just put the raw values (as they come from the magnetometer) into a file called mag.txt, call Magneto (it's pretty simple to compile the c source) and it will display the necessary values needed for calibration. To use t...

Re: Quick Magnetometer hack
Cleaned the code up and set up a bitbucket of it: https://bitbucket.org/daveh_/compass-calibration/ Turn the crazyflie on, and put it on a flat surface and rotate it round a few times until you see this logged in the console: Compass calibrated. Offset: (1068.781250, -1503.437500, -171.0). It then u...

Quick Magnetometer hack
Here is my first attempt at getting the heading from the magnetometer/remove the hard iron offset. After the flie boots, spin it round a few times to get the offset samples. I haven't had chance to try this out feeding the value back to the crazyflie's heading, but wanted to share it anyway, as I pr...

Re: Recommendations for dev kit?
By compatible I mean something I could program with the same software, same OS. I realize you'd need new HAL files for different hardware. That is what I was hoping for as the Crazyflie is quite expensive itself; I'm hoping for something cheaper, maybe that I can build a larger Quadcopter with. Some...

Recommendations for dev kit?
I'm pretty new to the Crazyflie great fun to fly around. It's really got me excited about embedded development again. I think its a good platform, particularly the crazy radio link, boot loader, and the tool chain you've put together is a great starting point for lots of experiments. I'd like to try...

Re: Burnt the M4 pads after trying to follow first video
I checked the connection to the mosfet - that worked fine
all I had to do to get it working was get a tiny piece of wire to bridge the gap between the pads

Burnt the M4 pads after trying to follow first video
I tried and struggled to follow this video (around 2:24) when assembling my Crazyflie. It was a nightmare! I lack a steady enough hand to do this technique of heating and pushing in from the opposite side. After struggling to do this for ages I've eventually burnt off the pads - although the wires s...
