Re: Flipping

I haven't flown my crazyflie much recently due to work but I am excited to see this new stuff! Ralph those flips are awesome! Much more stable than trying to do the whole thing manually! Haha.

Re: Compiling and Flashing Firmware

Hey, glad to hear you have figured it out! I would say to look into local branching with source control, will save all of your copying files etc and allows you to switch between versions of your code easily using tortoiseHG.

Re: Connection Issue

Figgy, I use VMWare fusion but I guess they must have a similar option. Have you ensured that you have selected an option to connect the USB to the VM rather than OSX? With VMWare it comes up with a pop up, maybe virtualbox you have to choose an option in the toolbar? Once you have connected it to t...

Re: Flipping

Here is the video of me attempting flipping, sorry for the poor quality etc, I will try and do a better one once my CrazyFlie is in better shape. It used to recover much better from flips before the arm snapped :-( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8LAUsW537k After about 30 attempts, these wer...

Re: Flipping

I will try and get one today...though my flie is in a terrible state :-( EDIT: Unfortunately due to the fact I have previously snapped an arm off my flie doesn't recover at all from the flips that well anymore, I need thinner carbon fiber tubing to make the arm sturdier, currently it has tubin...

Re: Flipping

Hey, i have carried out many successful flips (one very unsuccessful which led to and arm snapping!!) :-( To do this I put the flie into rate mode, when the flie is set to 360 in angle mode it is very uncontrollable, rate mode isn't the easiest to fly in though when you are used to angle mode. Once ...

Lost Mode

I have hacked together "lost mode" for the crazyflie. When connection is lost, after a set period of time the motors will start to make a sound. Code is messy I was just playing with the melody feature that Surrender made in another post. Pretty new to real time stuff and when the motors a...

Re: Power and thrust

Ok so I have found a power function that works for this. I have implemented what Danmark wrote above with the new power function and it now flies. As for stability improvement it is very hard to tell. It does certainly fly slower but it does kind of seem more stable, very negligable difference and h...
