Re: Possible Battery Mod?
While they're certainly a cool technical development, I don't think they're practical for the Flie unfortunately. They'll deliver the right voltage, but that site lists their capacity as 0.7 mAh while the stock battery is 170 mAh - you'd need well over 200 to give you the same capacity. For other pu...

Re: Standalone CF control with any PPM compatible RC transmi
This looks great! I'm looking forward to trying this out, though I'll have to order the nRF24L01+ modules. Just out of interest (and please excuse my ignorance) - how easy/hard would it be to port this code to the Crazyradio?

Re: Quadcopter follower
GPS functionality would be awesome. The new uBlox-7 module is small and suitable for the Crazyflie. We recently ordered some breakout-boards from here . I'm not expecting them to work inside though so it will only be for outside flight. Those modules look amazing! Can't wait to hear how you go with...

Re: Crazyflie won't hover -- hard to fly
Ok - this sounds fairly strange. Just to see if it is input lag rather than radio interference, can you try connecting to the Flie in Windows, holding on to it and then manipulating the controls? If you can see how client responds to the controller as well as how the Flie appears to be interpreting ...

Re: Crazyflie won't hover -- hard to fly
Do you have any input lag while flying the Crazyflie? I had similar problems - the Flie going completely crazy, hardly seeming to respond to commands (and completely impossible to hover) and it turned out there was a significant delay between me using the controls and the commands being sent to the ...

Re: Definitive OS X Thread (hopefully)
For what it's worth, I'm on OS X and decided to go with the Ubuntu VM over developing natively. The main reason for that was not wanting to muck around too much with the built-in Python in OS X; in the VM making mistakes is much less punishing. If you're looking to get Bluetooth support in the guest...

Re: Battery Charging
In my experience, charging the battery takes between 20-25 min going from completely empty (red LED on solidly) to completely full (green light on solidly) using a laptop's USB port. The main problem with adding a bigger battery is that as they get bigger, they weigh more. This lowers the flight tim...

Re: Seeed Studio shipping issue
That really sucks! Have you got in touch with Seeedstudio support yet? They'll be able to say for sure if the Flie was shipped with the spare parts and if it was but didn't arrive they should organise another to be sent out to you. They'll then claim insurance from the shipping company for losing th...

Re: Playstation 3 Controller under Ubuntu
That does sound pretty odd - over USB, my controller worked out-of-the-box. When you say you can't configure the controller, what exactly is happening? Can you get to the configuration screen? If you can, what happens when you click on the Configure and Detect buttons in the configuration screen? Ha...

Re: Crazyflie does not take off
Hi vatula, From the photo of the underside of your Flie it looks like you've soldered all the wires the same way, i.e. with the white wire attached to the oval pad. Unfortunately these need to alternate, with M2 and M4 having the black wire attached to the oval pad. You can see this section of the w...
