Re: crazyflie schematics and such

It's alright. I decided to give that up. I will try a carbon fiber cover frame instead. Looking at the schematics it would be difficult to add the bumper layer between the 4 other trace layers. And making it the vcc or ground wouldn't be effective either. Not to mention it might interfere with the a...

Re: Tiny Solar Panel (size of the circuit board)

I found a solar cell on ebay a few months ago. The cell is about 20x20mm and it puts Max about 1.2v at about. .. Well. I can't remember. I think it was about 20mA. I'll check on that later Edit: the solar cell only puts out 90mA Max, and 1.2v. And is made of 2 10x25mm cells. Plus epoxy. I tried look...

Re: crazyflie schematics and such

I was able to find the bill of materials listed in the kicad files. But what about opening these in Altium?

crazyflie schematics and such

So I thought I remember coming across a list that had the BOM for the crazyflie board, and the radio somewhere but I can't find it now! Any links for that info? I'm also trying to finally seperate the flie into two, 1 sided boards with drills for the vias, so I can attempt a file with a metal core. ...

Re: Lost Crazyflie in high grass

There are some things I bought called stick n find. They are low power tiny bluetooth tracking tags. They are super light. You could strip one down and put it on there.before you buy them though make sure you have a compatible system to track them with, iphone 5, Ipod gen5, some android systems. I bo...

Re: DIY Frame Ideas

What about weed wacker (edger, edge trimmer) cord? Bright orange and green colors you can make a 'forward' direction loop so you don't loose oriantation. It's super light, cheap, bends easy and still springy.

Re: FPV

I wanted to piggy back on this post. I remember seeing a post about doing fpv flight on a small cheap transmitter I recall it had perfect clarity sitting there, but vertical lines when throttle engaged. Basically you could add a filter to connection from the battery to the camera system, this would ...

Re: External sensors

By additional channels do you mean, over the on board transmitter, but on a different frequency, or by an entire new Tx/Rx network?
I think I would prefer the CF client to integrate more sensor reading, so everything would have to go through the on board stuff.

Re: reinforcing the arms

The pins linking the two sides of the board would allow movement, and to cut down weight and add movement, super small neoprene bolts could be used to hold everything together. Plus the metal would serve as a frame to take the bulk of any shock. And there are vias between the boards that I would hav...

reinforcing the arms

so i had an idea for reinforcing the board and arms...if you could make the two sides of the board single sided, single boards and have pins that can be soldered between the boards as vias, and add a piece of sheet aluminum in between the boards and fix it to the boards. or if you wanted to get fanc...
