Is there an example for this?

Re: Switching altitude measurement from downward ranger to upward

This makes me think that pushing data to the EKF could be moved completely to range.c... I'm trying my best to incorporate your suggestion into this branch, but there's so much to learn and so little time available to work on this... FreeRTOS is very unfamiliar to me, but from what I gather I'll ne...

Re: Switching altitude measurement from downward ranger to upward

The code isn't decent. I essentially took every shortcut I could find. :p

That's why I won't post it.

But it seems to work just fine!

Re: Working with VS Code

Just found this and this.

At the very end of the second link:
VS can certainly be used as an IDE, but hooking it up to the ARM toolchain for building might not be possible. Investigation needed.

Working with VS Code

Is anyone using VS Code to work with Bitcraze stuff? I'm fairly new to all of this so pointers from someone who has successfully done it would be appreciated. I've been using the virtual machine for that stuff, but I use VS Code for pretty much everything else these days. Would be great if I could m...

Switching altitude measurement from downward ranger to upward

Greetings, in the continued attempt to fly the CF over non-flat grounds, I had a new idea. This occurred to me after acquiring a multiranger deck. In the vast majority of places we fly our CFs, the ceiling is much flatter and bump-free than our floors. My idea is to use the upward ranger on the mult...

Re: Ground Mapping for bumpless flights using the Flow Deck

I haven't messed with that part yet. Anyway, thanks for the help! I will start testing this implementation soon.

Re: Ground Mapping for bumpless flights using the Flow Deck

Indeed I had not. There's a line that's exactly the same in zRangerReadRange and I confused the two. After changing the one you pointed out it started working.

Where is this zRangerReadRange method used? Should I keep the change in it?

Thanks for the tip!

Re: Ground Mapping for bumpless flights using the Flow Deck

I tried doing it. Here's what I did: Declared a static float named grLevel = 0.0 at the top of zranger.c Added grLevel to where zrange->distance is set Used the parameter macro to set it as the parameter named "level" under the group "ground" at the bottom of the file After flashing the CF with this...

Re: BigQuad Unstable - Constantly changing values for roll\pitch

A bigger quad is likely to need different PID settings for attitude at least. Its dynamics may be very different to the Crazyflie. I suggest restricting some of the degrees of freedom until you find the ballpark for attitude stability and then proceeding into short flights with lots of room around i...
