Re: Crazyflie 2 Bundle on Massdrop

Thanks for the tip, I was just looking to upgrade my 1.0 when I saw this, committed for the $99 buy since somehow I could not join the $109 drop (button stayed greyed out).

Now looking into repurposing the CF1.0 on a bigger frame.

Re: [SOLVED] Selecting an ultrasonic sensor and interface

I tried maxsonar sensor . I did not like it. Firstly it is heavy (5 grams), and secondly a large dead zone (in fact 35 cm), third - too slow updating the data. I found a better solution - https://www.pololu.com/product/2474 Weighs only 2.5 grams, dead zone - 10 cm and more rapidly data refresh. But...

Re: Water-"proofing" the crazyflie

Thanks tobias for testing this!! Indeed corrosion might be more of a problem then actually submerging it.

You could try again dropping it in a full sink while going full throttle

Re: Water-"proofing" the crazyflie

Have their been actual reports of Crazyflies dying due to water? Since some electronics can survive after being submerged I wonder how the CF would fair with that. If you don't give full throttle the power running through it are quite modest so maybe short-circuits wouldn't be totally fatal? The mot...

Re: [SOLVED] Selecting an ultrasonic sensor and interface

Alex, did you have any luck creating a stable altitude hold using the ultrasonic sensor? I am a bit concerned about the propellor wash that the manufacturer warns about, have you tested this? For instance, you can fix your CF at 1m with no RPM and see what happens when you apply throttle while keepi...

Re: Got it, flew it, stored it, fount it and now I'm confuse

That was quick, thanks! Setup development tools on OSX, build the firmware on the master branch and flashed it (version 2015.1). Everything now working as intended! Is there something known about battery wear? It seemed to drop pretty quick, red light indicated low battery after about 5 minutes. Gue...

Got it, flew it, stored it, fount it and now I'm confused..

Hi all, You can skip this part: I havent touched my Crazyflie 1.0 for about a year and since the weather here is improving I thought I'd pick it up again and do some flying. So I've updated the firmware of the Crazyradio to work on my new Macbook. Then I flashed the latest available binary firmware ...

Re: PS3 Controller is not working

Did you try to create a new mapping after you deleted the config folder? I've had the same thing (on OSX) and I had to create a new mapping since I removed everything. And did the config work ok? So were you able to set all the axes (roll, pitch, yaw, thrust)? I don't have an idea what's wrong if it...

Re: CR firmware requires sdcc 3.2 not avail in VM

There's also a PPA available with the binary.,there's more information here . We will release an updated version of the VM today that will include SDCC 3.2. Hi Marcus, great news that you are updating the VM! Am I correct in assuming that the link on the Wiki to this version is dead/missing because...

Re: Construction

Placing of the battery can make a huge difference and that is what I normally use for stabilization. I haven't tried the trim adjustments though, what do these actually do? Counter imbalance by setting the axis to a certain amount of input? I would expect that motor placement also effects the stabil...
