Re: Possible DOA Crazyflie

I haven't done anything to the crazyflie yet. I was following the instructions here -- http://wiki.bitcraze.se/projects:crazyflie:mechanics:assembly and it says: No worries, I hadn't seen the new assembly instructions yet. Sorry to hear about your DOA, but Seeed appears to be very good at taking ca...

Re: Wrong Roll / Pitch settings

Some gamepads number their axes different than others. You will need to change your input settings in Input device/Configure device mapping. Note that you'll need to detect an axis or button for all controls before the Save button will work.

Re: Possible DOA Crazyflie

Is the battery connected? Have you soldered any of the motor wires yet, or is this fresh out of the box? You can test your motor connections for short-circuits with a multimeter, you should read 2 ohms and change across the pair of pads for each motor. If you get significantly less, then the pads ar...

Re: idea for improving the motor mounts even more

I agree that the wires should be shielded better, although I understand the need to let the motors slide rather than breaking a mount or an arm. There are various materials you can add to protect the wires... I just trimmed down a piece of adhesive-backed Velcro to make four little dots. I used the ...

Re: Removing propellors

A small screwdriver works perfectly for prying them up, thank you. I was expecting them to slide off the way they slid on, but apparently they get pretty wedged on there after a few crashes. I'm happy to report that after swapping in my spare motor and four shiny new props, my Crazyflie is performin...

Removing propellors

My props have gotten scuffed up from repeated crashes while learning to fly... now that I'm ready for some fresh props, how on earth do I get these off? I've tried pliers, IC-pullers, and reasonable amounts of force, but can't seem to get them off the motor shafts. I actually broke one motor's wires...

Re: Flight school

Another thing that might help with orientation is to put the client into X-mode. Then the bright blue led will indicate the direction of the tail. Are you sure? According to this page , when in X-mode the blue LED will be on the right. Yes, the diagram is wrong -- the blue LED is the tail in client...

Re: Power button on/off switch BROKE

My power button just fell out too on a hard landing (is there any other kind? Not yet!). Use a little jumper wire to short the metal on the sides of the switch together momentarily. For style points build a little "key" for your Crazyflie out of Sugru with the wires in the right spot. :)

Re: Configure Device Mapping - Save greyed out

You have to select an axis or button for all of the inputs, including trim +/-, killswitch, and exit app before it will let you save the config currently.
