Re: Hello to everyone, and some elementary question of crazyflie.

Hi and welcome! I will try to answer your questions in order. I am trying to stay to the point, there is a lot to say but it would become quite noisy. Feel free to ask more questions and as a general comment it would be useful to know a bit more about what you want to achieve, there is a lot of way ...

Re: Kalman filter position update requirement

The Kalman filter requires some kind of position information to output a correct position estimate. This can be the LPS, the flow deck or any other mean of measuring the copter state in the room. It will work well when moving the Crazyflie by hand (if the motors are switched off, otherwise the kalma...

Re: Flowdeck-Functionality

The distance to the floor is available in the "range.zrange" log variable. I am not sure what you mean about 8 ranges and 8 pressures, the flow deck has 1 ranging sensor that outputs 1 range measurement. In a recent firmware, the 'range' log group will have more variables to accommodate the multiran...

Re: Is it possible to rewrite the setpoint methode?

It is possible without modifying the firmware: Crazyflie has parameters that can control individual motors PWM setting. The parameters methods should be enough for most purpose except maybe implementing a full controller outside the Crazyflie, is it what you are after? For more info about the motors...

Re: Netcage

Hi, Nothing 'professional' but we have been using a couple of solution when going to fairs that forced us to have a net. Our first try was fishing nets: it is pretty bad because it has very thin thread so at every crash all the propeller get tangled-up. Our latest and most successful solution was bi...

Re: How to power on the LPS Deck without the Crazyflie?

Hi, The LPS deck basically connects the DWM1000 module to the Crazyflie. If you want to use it directly with your robots you will have to power it by putting from 3 to 5V on VCOM and interface the DWM1000 using its SPI port, if you do it that way you will have to implement and SPI driver and port th...

Re: connection lost to radio://0/98/2M : too many packet lost

It seems that the crazyradio PA is the one having the problem. If you drop us an email at support _at_ bitcraze.io we can fix a replacement.

Re: flow and lps

Hi, 1- The motion commander will automatically land the Crazyflie when your code leaves the scope where the motion commander object exists (ie, https://github.com/bitcraze/crazyflie-lib-python/blob/master/examples/motion_commander_demo.py#L98). Is that what you are observing? 2- When setting up your...

Re: connection lost to radio://0/98/2M : too many packet lost

Hi, There seems to be a range problem either with the dongle or with the Crazyflie. Can you test a couple of things to get more info: 1- Connecting Crazyflie with an Android or iOS device using the crazyflie mobile client, the range over bluetooth should be of about 10 to 15m depending of the device...

Re: HITL and SITL for crazyflie

Hi, 1) When used with the radio this function will timeout after 100ms , USB will have similar timeout but if there is a packet it will returns the packet directly so it does not cause any latency problem. The reason there is a timeout at all is to handle switching link at runtime. The 10ms delay in...
