Re: Power button on/off switch BROKE

Mine fell apart too when I first tried to power it on the first time. If the pad is still inside, just get something small and poke it. It will turn on. If the pad fell out and it's just the traces inside the button housing, I use tweezers to short it each time.

Re: Caution using certain chargers

Alright. Luckily I bought two regulator chips. Now I'm wishing I bought a few more. Replaced my last spare. Works again. Taped the whole thing down assuming maybe something is still shorting. We'll see how long this lasts. Edit (May 9, 2013 - 10pm EST): After much flight time and taping up the copte...

Re: Caution using certain chargers

Replacing the voltage regulator restored the voltage, blue LED illuminated, and both red and green LEDs are bright. When I plugged a battery in, motor 3 would stick on. Replacing the MOSFET, 10k resistor, and diode fixed the motor problem. I'm confident only the MOSFET was damaged, but I ordered the...

Re: Caution using certain chargers

The motor still runs off a 1.5V battery. I should have mentioned that in the last post. I'll probably replace it since I ordered extras as a precaution. I'll place an order for various components to begin the repair. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for all your help.

Re: Caution using certain chargers

Hi Vew, Charging with the HTC Evo charger should be just fine. The Crazyflie should also be able to handle shout circuit of the motor connector, at least for a short period of time, as the battery has a short circuit protection and the USB is limited to 500mA current. When charging, the power manag...

Re: Who has it already? :)

Having problems with stable flight/hover. Moving the arms out in certain places helped but battery died before I got it to fully work. It might be caused by unbalanced propellers. Try using the best ones http://wiki.bitcraze.se/projects:crazyflie:userguide:tips_and_tricks . Normally the Crazyflie s...

[Solved] Caution using certain chargers (Fixed: Dim LEDs)

Edit: There is no concern with chargers. It was an incorrect theory. The symptoms were dim LEDs & no blue LED as updated in the instructions. Original post and fix is documented below. Sorry, strikethru doesn't work in the forum code otherwise I would have edited the subject with that. I've bee...

Re: Battery Charger for Lipos

Yes, that charger from Sparkfun will work. You'll need to put on your own connector. Might I suggest building your own? This charger cost me less than $4. It uses the Maxim's version, but I have used the MCP73831T (cheaper) successfully too. It's a very similar same chip. http://farm8.staticflickr.c...

Re: Who has it already? :)

Got mine yesterday. Ran into several problems. Don't be a jackass like me and think the switch is a sliding switch. It's a push button. Ended up destroying the switch with barely any pressure from my finger nail. Now I have to use tweezers to short the guts of the switch. I'll get around to ordering...
