Re: [SOLVED] Bitcraze_VM_0.5 problems with OSX 10.9, VMware
You are doing some great tutorials chad! We know the VM 0.5 is a bit outdated and a new updated one will be released with the CF2. Or at least short after, the workload now is a bit insane... Thanks for saying so!! I can imagine the workload needed for the CF2.0 product launch. The current VM is fi...

Re: What is the VM 4.0 root Password?

[POLL] What controller profile do you use the most?
I'm curious about which controller profiles people use the most. If you use a custom one, what is it based on? How are your mappings configured? I usually use a custom profile based off of PS3_Mode_2 but I turn off Yaw (because I'm just not that good of a flier) and I mapped my NeoPixel Ring effects...

Re: Beginner questions
No replies to this yet so I guess I'll take a stab at it... After some shoddy soldering, to my amazement my Crazyflie is fully functional and doing well. So far I'm able to get it off the ground, buzz around a few seconds, and crash it into things. This is a lot of fun, but I'd obviously like to do ...

Re: Raspberry Pi Image extraction problem
The .bin file is just a binary image. You can write it directly to an SD card (just like the .img file). I'd recommend the 0.3 image available here.

Re: DIsk Space of Bitcraze VM
I've posted a walkthrough of the partition resize on my Crazyflie blog. Some of it pertains to VMWare but the meat of it is about GParted and can help anyone wanting to resize the main VM partition (especially if they're looking to upgrade the Ubuntu base OS...).

Re: [SOLVED] Bitcraze_VM_0.5 problems with OSX 10.9, VMware
FWIW, Ubuntu 13.10 (which the Bitcraze VM is based on) met end-of-life on July 17, 2014. That's why you can't get updates anymore.
I finally got around to posting my walkthrough on resizing the main drive so, if you want a tutorial, it's available here.

Re: Update all repos fails
Double-click the "Terminal Emulator" icon on the desktop and enter the following three commands:
That should fix it and bring the crazyflie-firmware repository up-to-date.
Code: Select all
cd ~/projects/crazyflie-firmware
git checkout -- Makefile
git pull

Verification failed flashing firmware over 60K...
Hi all, I've been playing around with the neopixel_dev branch to support a NeoPixel ring mod I'm doing. The built firmware from a fresh clone of neopixel_dev HEAD is just over 60K (60456) in size. I've noticed when I have "Verify flashing" checked in the Python client during programming, t...
